Boy 🚶 Learns Truth Lesson
Once in a serene village nestled amidst green hills, there lived a mischievous boy named Peter. He was tasked with shepherding the village's flock of sheep. To escape boredom, he devised a clever trick: pretending there was a wolf attacking the sheep.
One sunny afternoon, Peter grew restless and decided to put his plan into action. He cried, "Wolf! Wolf! The wolf is attacking the sheep!" The villagers, alarmed, rushed to his aid. However, upon reaching the pasture, they found no sign of a wolf. Peter chuckled at their gullibility.
The next day, he repeated his prank. Once again, the villagers dashed to rescue the sheep, only to discover it was a false alarm. They were annoyed but forgave the boy, assuming he was merely seeking attention.
On the third day, a real wolf prowled near the flock. Peter panicked, shouting desperately, "Wolf! Wolf! Please help!" This time, the villagers hesitated. They remembered the past false alarms and doubted Peter's credibility. Fearing another trick, no one rushed to his aid.
Sadly, the wolf seized the opportunity, and the sheep scattered in terror. Peter realized his mistake but it was too late. He had deceived the villagers once too often, and now they didn't believe him when it truly mattered.
The wolf, having its fill, disappeared into the forest, leaving Peter crestfallen amid the chaos. The villagers, disappointed in his actions, helped him gather the scattered sheep. From that day on, the boy who cried wolf learned a valuable lesson about honesty and trust.
The tale of Peter's folly spread far and wide, serving as a timeless reminder to always speak the truth and to be cautious of the consequences of deceit. Peter, repentant, vowed to be honest and responsible, striving to regain the trust of his fellow villagers, one day at a time.
